Maker of two films ‘Amrutha Vani’ and ‘Parole’ Rajashekhar alias Shekar as director has finished his third film ‘Burfi’ with Diganth, Bhama, Dilip Raj, Samyuktha, Harish Raj, Sudha Belawadi, Pavithra Lokesh, Suchindra Prasad, Shanthamma and others. Arjun Janya has scored music for seven songs and Guldulpet Suresh is the cameraman of this film.

Speaking to this correspondent on Wednesday night at City Institute in Chamrajpet, Bangalore director cum producer Shekhar has following observations to make.

·         ‘Burfi’ is completed. No patch work is needed says our editor KM Prakash. This has given me more confidence.

·         Two months publicity for the film, audio release and release is in the month of May 2013.

·         I was in hallucination from previous films.

·         As a businessman of 70 plus outlets of ‘Black Bird’ garments I am successful as businessman. In cinema business of two earlier films I was a failure. This was my ‘Yaksha Prashne’. The people acceptance can only give the winning happiness in this field.

·         When I started this film also there was some ‘huchchu brame’ on my subject. When artists and technicians started feeling the film I was moved.

·         When I went to locations like Amritsar, Vaga Border, Himachal Pradesh it has further enhanced my dream. It is three months search of locations I made for this film ‘Burfi’.

·         A pug – dog is another highlight of this film. Instead of a male character I have introduced it. This is after reading columns of Editor of Kannada Prabha Vishveshwara Bhat and later surfing in the internet on significance of dogs.

·         I have plans to get the same pug for the audio release event.

·         The narration of the film is another beauty. Giving a small terrorism feel the story continues and disprove the thoughts of the audience – oh this is Beladingala Baale later changes to ‘Yaare neenu Cheluvu’ in the mind of audience. But it is not just that. It moves further for more convincing end.

·         Like how ‘Burfi’ is sweet, even my films is so sweet with lot of turns, good screenplay, lovely cinematography and wonderful looking actors and performances.

·         In Vaga border and in Amritsar Golden temple for the first time any Kannada film is shot.

·         The heroine is a Punjabi and hero is Mangalore based boy.

·         For the reach of film to all the sections of the audience I follow the Telugu film ‘Nee Vasthuntane Naa Vadduntana’ – a small child to 90 years could watch the film. I have given thought in the same way for ‘Burfi’.

·         Actors like Harish Raj, Dilip Raj, Diganth, Bhama, Suchindra Prasad and others agreeing to act for my thought - my first score. They do not agree just like that. More over the film is not done for the artists. For the script the artists have been selected.

·         Before going on the floor I have narrated this screenplay to Tamil writer Balaji Shakthi Velu and Kannada writer, director KV Raju – the green signal they gave me made me to take up this film.
